Lehner Associates, Inc., has proudly provided quality civil engineering, land surveying, planning, and consulting services for over 100 years.  The owners and officers of Lehner Associates have a combined work experience of over 100 years as well and are licensed to practice civil engineering and/or land surveying in the State of Michigan and in some cases, other neighboring states as well.  As such, all our projects are afforded the personal oversight, project management and quality control of our experienced Principals, ensuring professional and technical competence.



Bill Thompson has been employed by Lehner Associates since 1984 as Principal Engineer in charge of all engineering projects. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Oakland University in 1970 and his M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Wayne State University in 1979.  Mr. Thompson has been recognized as a Professional Engineer since 1977 and is licensed in the state of Michigan, Ohio, New York and Arizona. His vast experience also includes two years as an engineering consultant to the Shelby Township Planning Commission.


Vice President  

Rick Drouillard has been employed by Lehner Associates since May of 2004. He received an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from ITT in 1985 and a B.S. in Surveying Engineering from Ferris State University in 1996.  Mr. Drouillard has been a Professional Surveyor since June of 2005. His experience spans many years beginning with practical hands-on field experience to his current position as Manager of the Survey Department.


Secretary & Treasurer  

Tom Kellogg has been employed by Lehner Associates since 1987 in the position of Project Manager and Office Manager.  He received his B.S in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1974 and subsequently obtained his Professional Surveyors license. Mr. Kellogg has been recognized as a Professional Engineer since 1991.  His many years of industry experience are enhanced through knowledge gained working for several years with a local developer and construction company.
